Pilgrimage to Taizé

Young Adult Pilgrimage to Taizé

How about a trip to France?
Faith is hosting a young adult pilgrimage to the Taizé Community in France from Friday, June 2, 2023 – Sunday, June 11, 2023 for young adults 17-24 years old.

The Taizé Community is a monastic community made up of over 100 brothers from a variety of Christian traditions, coming from 30 different nations. Since the 1960’s their ministry has been focused on hospitality and accompaniment with young adults. Young people from throughout the world visit Taizé annually. (Visit taize.fr for more information.)

While in Taizé, participants will experience a unique rhythm of life. The Taizé Community practices simplicity and minimalism. Participants will worship three times daily, attend a small group Bible study led by a brother, and do assigned chores in support of the community and its guests.

Who is eligible to participate?
Participants between 17-24 years old are eligible to participate. This trip is not limited to Faith Lutheran members. Registration is on a first-come-first-served basis and may be limited based on available group leaders. Participants who are 17 years old will need a signed, notarized letter from both parents authorizing their travel to participate.
