Faith’s Volunteer Fact

Did you know one of the reasons that I hear why people do not want to volunteer at Faith Lutheran?   It is because they do not know the duties of a particular volunteer position.  If you are interested in volunteering in a certain area and its duties, please do not hesitate to ask me, Susie Watts, Congregation Connector.  I am happy to assist you in any way I can.

Benefits of Volunteering

For the next fifteen months, there will be one benefit about what volunteering can do for you.

  1. Volunteering gives you a sense of purpose.

Although it is not well-understood why volunteering provides such a profound health benefit, a key factor is assumed to be that volunteering serves to express and facilitate opportunities to carry out one’s sense of purpose. The very nature of volunteering means choosing to work without being paid for it. As a result, people choose to spend their time on issues they feel strongly about.

Thank you to the Kitchen Cleaning Crew!  We have a group that comes in once a quarter to deep clean, throw old food and wipe down all the surfaces in our kitchens.  It is wonderful to see people giving their time, so we can enjoy our kitchens!
