Up North Adventure : Summer Reset
Service & Spirituality on the North Shore
For those who have completed 7th – 11th grade by time of trip.
Silver Bay, MN | Cloquet State Forest
August 1 – August 7, 2021
Cost: $275 (1/2 week) | $475 (full week)

Shane will be leading a summer trip for youth to escape “Up North.”
From August 1st -4th we will be doing service on the North Shore with Service Learning Camps, run by Lutheran Deacon Don Marsh, and coordinated by former Faith Waconia Youth Minister Jilian McCorison!

We’ll be staying overnights at the Silver Bay Community Center and volunteering at different sites during the day. Each evening we’ll have a chance to experiment with a different spiritual practice focused on connection with God and with others. Middle School students can sign up for just the half-week of service at the reduced cost.

Then, we’ll spend 3 nights camping at the Cloquet State Forest. One day will be a canoe trip on the Cloquet River, followed by a day trip hiking at Tettegouche State Park. We’ll slow down and learn how to reset and refresh ourselves at the *end* of the pandemic as we look for God in our service, our relationships with each other, and in nature.

We strongly encourage your youth to have a negative Covid test result within 48 hours of participating. (Or a completed vaccine series.)
