SAGES 55+ will once again sponsor the Christmas Box Project for Deployed Military Personnel. The congregation is invited to join this project by contributing any amount from $5 to $50 to $500!!! The goal is for Faith to contribute 50 Christmas boxes to the community campaign. Thrivent Financial has provided $250 in seed money to jump start this project. The gift box contents are valued at $50.
YOU CAN HELP!  Make a tax-deductible donation to Faith Lutheran Church with “SAGES Christmas Project” in the memo line of your check – or contribute items for the boxes.
(Your contribution is private as any of your offerings are.)
If you have a loved one serving overseas give us their APO/FPO address and we will send them a Christmas gift box. The Waconia Lions Club will pay to ship packages to APO/FPO addresses in November.
Our packing date is November 13 @ 9:00AM. Teresa Schmidt and I will shop for box contents prior to the event.

The annual Redeemer Christmas Store will be held on Saturday December 14. Please watch for the gift request forms that will be handed out during the Giving Tree program. Children at Redeemer Lutheran in North Minneapolis are allowed to shop for the special people in their lives during this event. By paying one dollar, children can pick out four gifts while volunteers guide them through the makeshift “store”. It’s a special day made even more special by the support Faith members offer to the event. We will be collecting gifts focused on teens and adults this year. Please contact Angela Rud at 952-451-3343 with any questions.

Have you ever wished your spouse came with an instruction manual?  Are you interested in learning ways to more effectively move past the sticking points in your marriage?  Please come join us for the winter marriage retreat, Better Together: Exploring Relationship Dynamics with the Enneagram. Areas of emphasis will include:
  • A review of each of the nine character structures and self-observation.
  • Typical relationship challenges between the three intelligence centers:  Head, Heart, and Gut.
  • Understanding how to recognize the characteristics of our own personalities that cause the sticking points in our     relationships.
Scott McRae of the Sojourners Spiritual Direction Program will teach us tactical ways to grow in communication and understanding with our spouses. The subject matter will be meaningful and relevant if you are first hearing about enneagram or build upon the information if you attended last year. We hope to see you there!
