Good food.  Good friends.  Good conversation.

You know you have to eat anyway, so why not do it while building relationships at Faith Lutheran Church?  Casually connect with 7 other adults (3 other families) once/ month (during the months of January through April) for 2-hour potlucks rotating in homes or local eateries.  Register on the sign-up board in the gathering area or register on the website under “Small Groups” .  Groups will launch in January, 2018.  You will take turns hosting one potluck in each of your four homes.

Tuesday Bible Study
The month of December will be a fun one for the Tuesday Bible Study. On December 4 and 11 we will be viewing God’s Not Dead III, The Light In The Darkness. On December 18 we will be viewing The Journey, by Adam Hamilton and discussing the journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem. This will be a wonderful DVD and discussion as we move toward Christmas.

Come January 8, we will begin the book of Exodus. This is a book of incredible stories, intrigue, and miracles. We will read of the events that lead to Israel’s deliverance from Egypt and it’s development as a nation.       Old Testament Scripture is so compelling and it’s connection to the New Testament is fascinating. Join us if you can. Everyone is welcome. We meet on Tuesday mornings at 9:15 am at Westview Acres and at 7:00 pm at Faith.        Everyone is welcome. Monthly Leadership Huddle:
Canoeing the Mountains: Christian Leadership in Unchartered Territoryby Tod Bolsinger
Age Range: Mixed Adults Days/Time: 3rd Sunday of the Month from 11:15-12:30 in the Fireside Room
Duration:  Monthly beginning October 21st for 7 months.
Cost:    $17 for hardcover book, “Canoeing the Mountains” by Tod Bolsinger (Available for Purchase at Welcome Center)
Do you lead a small group, team, or project in your workplace or here at church?  Join us for a monthly leadership huddle as we seek to improve our leadership skills and provide support and guidance for challenges we may face as leaders in our workplace or here at church.  This fall, we will read the 14th Annual Outreach Magazine’s “Resource of the Year” choice for Leadership, Canoeing the Mountains.
Bolsinger argues that explorers, Lewis and Clark, had to adapt. While they had prepared to find a waterway to the Pacific Ocean, instead they found themselves in the Rocky Mountains. You too may feel that you are leading in a cultural context you were not expecting. You may even feel that your training holds you back more often than it carries you along. Drawing from his extensive experience as a pastor and consultant, Bolsinger brings decades of expertise in guiding churches and organizations through uncharted territory. He offers a combination of illuminating insights and practical tools to help you reimagine what effective leadership looks like in our rapidly changing world.
Come join Pastor Christine and other leaders here at Faith as we develop the courage and vision to lead in our workplaces and communities.
