Thank you
for your interest in Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church. Our Mission
statement is: “To Learn, Serve and Share the Gospel by growing
in our relationship with Jesus Christ, each other and those beyond our
walls.” We invite you to join us for one of our three weekly worship
services. We worship on Sunday mornings at 8:00, 9:00 and 10:30. Faith
is a Lutheran church proud of our Lutheran identity that tends to attract
individuals and families from a variety of church backgrounds. Over
1/3 of our membership grew up in churches other than the Lutheran church
or had no church background at all. We are open and accepting. We love
to meet new people. We offer quality Christian programming for all ages.
As Senior Pastor it is my privilege to lead a growing congregation of
wonderful members who share generously of their time, talents and financial
resources. We try to take good care of each other and are committed
to reaching out beyond our walls. At Faith Lutheran we are always trying
new things while maintaining traditions that are relevant and spiritually
helpful. If you are looking for a church to attend I hope you will check
us out. We are currently enjoying getting to know many families who
have recently moved into the Waconia area. Please call me at

have any questions about Faith.

God
has led me—often times pushing and pulling—down a winding,
challenging and astonishing road, a road that has led me to ordained
ministry and service here at Faith Lutheran. This road has taken me
into and out of the Christian church as I have wrestled with what
it means to follow God. Here at Faith, I am excited to be a part of
the conversations and actions focused on how to “learn, serve
and share the gospel by growing in our relationship with Jesus Christ,
one another and those beyond our walls.” My door is always open;
stop in for tea or coffee. Really. I would love to hear your story.

I was called to ministry at Faith Lutheran Church in October 2010, charged
with paying special attention to areas of congregational Life and
Growth, such as visitation, fellowship and confirmation. I’m
excited that my vocation has brought me here to proclaim the gospel
in this place, and I look forward to ever-continuous learning and
growing in faith with all the people of this vibrant congregation.
Originally from Minot, ND, I now live in the charming town of Waconia
with my husband Travis.

God has formed me and my ministry by a long and patient molding of
my life and my experiences. I am the daughter of a preacher who first
planted the seed in me that I would someday be a leader in the church.
I am the mother of five, the mother-in-law of four and the “NANA”
of five. Family is very important to all of us. My husband and I have
been camp directors at Luther Park Bible Camp in Chetek, WI for the
past 23years. Before that we were teachers in Prescott, WI and went
to camp in the summer months. Before that we were both students and
graduates of Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with degrees
in Education.
In
recent years I have worked with the Northwest Synod of Wisconsin in
training and equipping youth workers in their own discipleship ministries.
I am thrilled to be here at Faith Lutheran where I can now put some
of the principles and practices of relational youth ministry into
practice with “OUR KIDS”.
My
favorite calling in life is that of a “disciple-maker”.
This is a calling I can live out in my family, my community and my
church. When working with young people I feel that it is very important
for them to know that God’s calling in their lives begins NOW.
In 1 Timothy 4:12 Paul tells Timothy that God calls him to be the
best YOUNG PERSON of FAITH that he can be. That is my message to kids
whenever I get the chance to share it.

My calling to ministry, and what eventually led me to serve at Faith Lutheran as the Children and Family Minister in June of 2012, started when I wrote my own faith story for my confirmation in the 8th grade. I discovered that I have a passion for ministry, a desire to hear other people’s faith stories, and a love of working with children, youth and families. This led me to an undergraduate degree in Religion and Social Welfare. During my college years I spent my spring breaks on service trips, studied abroad in Tanzania and worked summers at Sugar Creek Bible Camp, all of which played a part in leading me into the seminary. My Master’s degree in Children, Youth and Family Ministry with an emphasis on sustainable Outdoor Ministry allows me to combine the passion that I have for ministry, nature and creation care. Having grown up in Watertown, I am so excited to be living back in this area and feel so blessed to be a part of Faith Lutheran Church. Please stop in and visit me anytime, my door is always open!
