Children and volunteers will join us to brave dangerous shipwrecks, wild barbarians, and the power of the gospel in this summer’s
High Seas Expedition Vacation Bible School. This year’s VBSfocuses on the book of Acts, where we see the Holy Spirit spread the gospel across the ancient world. Jesus’s friends sailed throughout the Roman Empire on their missionary journeys. They were thrown in jail, shipwrecked, attacked, misunderstood. Yet they shared God’s love and experienced many miracles in the face of such great danger. VBS students
will join crews to explore a world of high seas adventure; children 3 year-olds through 5th grade are invited to attend.
VBS is Monday, June 21-Thursday, June 24, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30..

9TH GRADE CANOE TRIP TO THE BWCA
August 1 - 7, 2010
Cost $395
This summer, come journey through the awesomeness of God?s creation in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area! This trip is only for 9th graders, so you will have a great opportunity to hang out with people in your grade. Our group will journey up to the Gunflint Trail to Wilderness Canoe Base. They put together all the supplies we need along with a guide, for a successful and memorable trip. If you have any questions, please contact Mary Toufar at church! SUMMER MISSION TRIP
McAllen, TX
July 10 - 17
10th - 12th grade (completed)
This summer, 10th -12th graders will journey down to the border of Mexico and work in McAllen Texas at a brand new congregation. Our role will be to lead a Vacation Bible School with a new congregation that is just beginning to build and grow. This trip is in conjunction with one of our mission partners, Christo Rey. and is a trip that several in our community have taken before. We will be staying at Our Saviors Church during the week, and then our last night will be on the beach at South Padre Island. We will begin fundraising this month, so if you are interested in going, please let Mary Toufar know ASAP!

Pick up a camp brochure at church to learn about the camp experience, what the week is like, and receive a registration form. Camperships available to ensure every child has the opportunity for this crucial Christian formation experience. This year’s summer camp dates are:
• SEEDS (Completed 2nd or 3rd Grade)
o Registration on Friday, July 9, 7:00 p.m.
o Ends with closing worship at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 11
• Youth Camp (Completed 4th-6th grade and 7th-9th Grade)
o Registration on Sunday, July 11, 3:00-5:00 p.m.
o Ends with closing worship on Friday, July 16, 2:00 p.m.
